1995, 23 founding partners started up a pioneering project in Spain (Intercom Servicios Telemáticos avanzados S.A), an ISP, a supplier of access to Internet, oriented towards providing a service of quality and high prices.
1996 The following year two complementary businesses were created: one consultancy and assessor in Information Technologies (Consulting Intercom) and a company of multimedia contents and marketing on Internet (Plug Intercom).
1997 Noticias.com came into the market, a website about news in new technologies, and Softonic.com, a software downloading website (At that time called "Shareware Intercom").
1998 InfoJobs.net was founded, and curiously it was the result of the very need to recruit personnel specialised in new technologies.
2000 Intercom Online, Consulting Intercom and Plug Intercom were sold to Cable&Wireless, a multinational of British origin, one of the main Internet operators in the world.
That same year, 110 founding partners created the current nursery "Grupo Intercom", with the aim of boosting the creation of a large number of new projects.
The growth in the number of businesses and personnel led to the opening of a new headquarters of 1,000 m2 in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona).
2001 In January Grupo Intercom formed the Grupo Intercom de Capital SCR, SA company from where it has a holding in the social capital of the companies and provides financial, legal, marketing and communications, strategic and technological support to the entrepreneurs.
The first businesses launched were SoloStocks.com, infoAvisos.net and Emagister.com.
In October, the Catalan investment group CORSABE invested 1.68 million euros in InfoJobs.net and Softonic.com. In April of the following year, CORSABE completed its holding with an amount of 2.4 million euros in exchange for 10% of the holding in Grupo Intercom.
2004 In May Trader Classified Media, the leading group in the classified adverts publishing sector, acquired 60% of InfoJobs.net.
The process of international expansion began of some of the businesses of Grupo Intercom: In July 2004 InfoJobs Italy was launched (InfoJobs.it); in October, Softonic was launched in a mission to conquer the German market with Softonic.de
2005 InfoJobs Poland and the version of Softonic in English were launched.
2007 In March the enlargement of the offices in Sant Cugat was opened, which by then occupied more than 1,600 m2 and in July the offices of Grupo Intercom in Madrid were opened, in Paseo de la Castellana, 180. Niumba is the first project fully placed there.
June saw the formalisation of the sale of 100% of Neurona.com to the German company Xing.com.
2008
The internationalisation process of Grupo Intercom began with the founding of the first business nursery in Germany.
